alright, so it’s not as cool as the konami code, but microsoft has a ter­rible habit of dumbing down their oper­ating sys­tems lately that causes head­aches for people who know what the hell they’re doing (think UAC, hidden admin­is­trator on vista, among other things). i guess it’s a security trade-​off con­sid­ering how many retards there are. but news has come out that besides the sep­arate admin­is­trator account on win­dows 7, there’s an even HIGHER level of access that microsoft has clev­erly named “god mode”. the upside: do whatever you want. the down­side: appar­ently, it might cause 64-​bit imple­ment­a­tions to go apeshit. really wish microsoft could get it right one day. :-/

3 easy steps to unlocking win­dows 7 god mode:

1. open up win­dows explorer (win+e)
2. right click any­where and create a new folder
3. name the folder: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

once that’s done, a bunch of scary icons will appear in the folder and you can hap­pily pro­ceed with com­pletely des­troying your oper­ating system, as you wonder “hmm, what will this icon do?”
