the japanese win both on sheer speed and cost, while the koreans and swedes follow closely behind in terms of average costs. it’s about time americans and canadians figure out that the internet is probably the singlemost useful tool in today’s society and government’s need to start pushing these companies to actually expand capacity instead of limiting it. canada may be ranked above america in terms of average speed, but our average price per 1mb is almost double and we’re one of the most expensive countries for broadband in those terms.
